County Donegal is located in the North West Region.  This region has a large and growing labour pool with over 427,000 people making it the largest sub-regional labour pool on the island after Dublin.  The region has a highly educated  population with a number of recognised centres of excellence including Letterkenny Institute of Technology, the University of Ulster, the Nother West Regional College etc.  In addition, there is a network of airports in the region providing global connectivity through Derry and Donegal Airports.   Investing in the region will prove to be one of the most cost effective locations in Ireland or the United Kingdom .
 
This section will act as a ‘one stop business shop’ designed to help either domestic or returning entrepreneurs to start up or expand a business in this county.  It outlines the various initiatives that have been developed to create jobs within the county through the industrial development agencies like Údaras, IDA Ireland, County Enterprise Board, Local Development Companies etc.  It addition, it presents a business profile of the county in terms of overseas and indigenous enterprise and explores the area of enhancing competitiveness within the North West of the County.
